Introduction
As a Japanese living in Dubai for a few years, one thing I truly missed was karaoke.
Every time I go back to Japan, singing karaoke with friends is a must.
But this time, I finally found a place where I can enjoy karaoke in Dubai —
just like in Japan! It’s called Hama Film x Kono Karaoke Dubai, located inside BurJuman Mall.
Let me share my honest experience, including the price, quality, and what you can expect as a karaoke lover.
Where is Hama Film x Kono Karaoke Dubai?
Located on the third floor of BurJuman Mall, this small but cozy karaoke spot is easy to access.
The mall is directly connected to the metro, so it’s super convenient even without a car.
There’s also a big food court, so you can grab a quick meal at McDonald’s or a coffee before heading in.
What the Place Looks Like
From the outside, it’s colorful and playful — neon lights, cartoon characters, and a cheerful vibe.
I went in October, so the entrance was decorated for Halloween, which made it extra cute!
Inside the Private Room
We chose a small room for up to 4 people.
Compared to karaoke rooms in Japan, it’s quite compact but clean and well-decorated.
There’s a mic cover for hygiene, and disco lights that make it feel festive.
Sound & Quality
The sound system was surprisingly good!
Both the music and mic volume were well-balanced.
There’s no full music video option like in Japan, but overall, the singing experience was great.
Price
For a 4-person room, the price was:
- 15 min – 25 AED (about $6.80)
- 25 min – 45 AED (about $12.25)
- 60 min – 100 AED (about $27.20)
Pretty affordable compared to Japan!
Rules & System
Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed,
but you can buy snacks and drinks from the shop near the entrance.
They also support multiple languages including Japanese, English, and Korean.
Summary
It’s not as high-tech as karaoke in Japan,
but for anyone living in or visiting Dubai, it’s a great place to sing your heart out!
